Sothys has more than 60 years of history in professional skincare treatment. The Sothys philosophy of cure and treatment was established by her founder, Dr Hotz.

Dr Hotz, a medical biologist, was motivated to find a remedy to minimize the suffering of burnt victims in World War 2.

In 1946, Dr Hotz invented the world’s first biological concentrated serum stored in ampoule form. Today all professional skincare serums come in this ampoule form.

Dr Hotz also created the first cream to heal burnt skin, and developed the breakthrough therapy of fresh cells.

From here, Dr Hotz began to dispense his original line of care products, alongside the practice of exclusive and professional methods of body care. Dr Hotz catered to an elite Parisian clientele, operating from a tiny beauty institute at 163 rue du Faubourg St Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s golden triangle.

Dr Hotz created the luxury skincare brand that is Sothys, instilling the values of cure and treatment that she is still keeping faith with today.
