VERTICALLY INTEGRATED FOR TRUE QUALITY
Sothys began an ‘industrial revolution’ when management offices were joined by Sothys own research laboratory and manufacturing plant.
Initially manufacturing and distributing from her humble Parisian location in the 1970s, Mr Bernard Mas, Executive President of Sothys Skincare, who acquired the Sothys beauty institute founded by Dr Hotz, sought to break from tradition and moved all operations to the garden of France – Brive, in south-western France.
SOREDEC
At Sothys, we strongly believe that a cosmetic product should always be the result of a good balance between two elements – science and dream.
The dream for ever improving, innovative products can only be fulfilled through constant scientific research and development (R&D).
Making R&D a priority, SOREDEC (Sothys Research and Development Laboratory and Dermalogical Testing Institute) was established in 1988 as an independent subsidiary of Sothys.
SOREDEC is devoted to the development of new cosmetological concepts.
In permanent contact with international universities and research laboratories, SOREDEC embraces the latest in cosmetic progress – from genocosmetics, neurocosmetics, cutaneous biology, proteo cosmetics to sensorial cosmetics.
Every year, new, exclusive and unique compounds are created to unite efficacy with comfort. Recent notable breakthroughs include the world’s first third generation hydration technique – Hydroptimale® THI3, a spherulite® complex oxygenating and energizing cells from the Oxyliance™ range and a sun care Cellu-guard® complex that truly protects DNA and tissues.
Extending research and continuing innovation into the future is Sothys Auriace. Auriace will be a research centre dedicated to plants, exploring their potential contribution to the world of beauty. This is a return to Sothys origins and the roots of our senses.
PRODUCTION UNIT IN MEYSSAC
To ensure exclusive, unique compounds created at SOREDEC are carefully produced, a production unit in Meyssac was built. In 2005, a modern state-of-the-art product plant with hi-tech equipment was inaugurated.
This new production facility is designed to comply with the ISO9001 accreditation criteria as well as stringent European standards where samples from each stage are extracted for testing.
Strict inspection procedures are also being practiced. High standards are rigorously imposed on quality, density, viscosity and stability. Objective tests are also carried out by independent laboratories. All these processes are executed in a singular pursuit towards production excellence.
INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
Maintaining her essence as a true beauty brand developed in collaboration with beauty professionals, Sothys has an International Training Centre in Paris specially for Sothys beauticians.
The International Training Centre serves to share the latest findings and methodologies with Sothys beauticians. It is also an environment conducive for beauticians to share their specific care techniques and intimate understanding of products.
This two-way communication with beauty professionals has proven fruitful with innovation and permanent improvements in aesthetic care techniques.
